What can I highlight?: The menu will appear for any block of text content longer than three characters and shorter than 300.
How does it know what to highlight on a page?: It stores the text you selected, and searches the content for matching text. It may find multiple matches on some pages if the selected text is small or repeated.
What do the different colors mean?: Check the annotation options for a list.
How do I see who made the highlight or any comments?: Simply click on the highlight to bring up a window displaying more information about the annotation and any comments.
How does the browsing work?: Any page visited through gibeo.net will have it's links to other pages enhanced so that you can visit their gibeo versions as well. This doesn't work in all cases and on all sites.

How do I get to the highlighted version of any page?: Simply add ".gibeo.net" to the end of the domain name, such as "http://mysite.com.gibeo.net/mypage.html". You can also drag this link: Gib It! to your bookmark bar and click on it when visiting any site to instantly see it via gibeo.net.

How do I add/see comments?: Simply click on the highlighted text and you can add a comment to any annotation.
What are comment notifications?: When someone adds a comment to one of your highlights, or to any thread you've participated in, you will get a email and web notification.
Can I moderate comments I don't like?: You need to be a Premier member to moderate.

What do "friends" mean?: When you add someone as your friend, their annotations/comments will be given priority when you browse the web, and you will have instant access to forward them clips from any page.
Can I share with someone who's not a member?: Of course, simply annotate a page and choose the "publish" option, then you can forward the *.by-you.gibeo.net URL to anyone and they will see only your annotations.

What do the membership levels mean?: Basic members are Ad supported and a few restrictions. Premier members (anyone with a balance above zero) have no Ads and no restrictions. Platinum members (anyone with a balance above $10) have access to special advanced features.

What are extensions and utilities?: They are additional functionality that can adapt and be customized based on the pages you are browsing to or text you select, such as performing searches, bookmarking content, etc.
Can I create my own?: Absolutely, become a developer and get access to a number of simple tools in development allowing you to create your own intelligent agents and extensions.
